the owner of Spy21 runs spy21.com (“Spy21”) and is responsible for your personal data. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account: username, display name, password (stored encrypted), date of birth, profile photo, status, “about me” and up to 3 profile photos. Your e-mail address only if you add one — it is only used to send you a link when you forget your password.
- Use of the service: your friends list, private messages, messages in rooms (the last messages of a room are kept for a short time), gifts and the time you were last online.
- Technical: your IP address and device/browser information, to keep Spy21 safe and to stop abuse.
- Cam and microphone: streamed live through our video servers and not recorded by Spy21.
- Age check: if you go live we may ask for a photo of your ID and a selfie. These are only seen by our moderators and deleted as soon as the check is done (at most 30 days). We only keep the result (verified or not) and your date of birth.
- Payments: the Bitcoin payment address and amount of your diamond orders (payments are handled by NOWPayments or straight on the Bitcoin network). For payouts: the bank account (IBAN, name) or Bitcoin address you give us.
- Reports: reports you send or that are sent about you, and what moderators did with them.
Why we use it
To provide Spy21 to you (contract), to keep the service safe, stop spam and abuse and protect minors (legitimate interest and legal obligation), to handle payments and payouts and keep our books (legal obligation), and to improve Spy21.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, friends and private messages are deleted right away; payment and payout records are kept anonymously for as long as tax law requires (in the Netherlands usually 7 years). Logs with IP addresses are kept for at most 90 days unless needed to handle abuse.
Who we share it with
Only with services we need to run Spy21: our hosting and video servers, NOWPayments for crypto payments and our bank for payouts — and with authorities when the law requires it. Other users only see what you show on your profile and in chats.
Cookies and storage
We only use what is needed for Spy21 to work: your login is kept in your browser’s storage and a small cookie (“s21”) tells our server you are logged in on that device. No advertising or tracking cookies are used by Spy21 itself. Advertisers’ banners link to their own sites with their own privacy rules.
Your rights
You can see and change your data in your profile, and delete your account yourself (menu → “Delete my account”). You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to stop certain use, by mailing support@spy21.com. You may complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords encrypted and limit who can see personal data. ID photos for the age check are stored outside the public part of our servers and are only visible to moderators.
